Contributions highlight the impact of Sheikh Mohammed’s Ramadan initiative.
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has successfully raised Dh3.304 billion. Designed to honour fathers in the UAE, the initiative creates a sustainable endowment fund to provide essential healthcare and treatment for those in need, improving their well-being and quality of life. The campaign has attracted over 160,560 contributors, including individuals, businesses, and organisations from both the public and private sectors.
According to Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Secretary-General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the overwhelming response reflects the profound impact of Sheikh Mohammed’s Ramadan campaigns. He emphasised that the initiative not only provides vital healthcare but also strengthens communities by ensuring stability and enhancing individuals’ ability to contribute to society.
Al Gergawi also highlighted the deep-rooted culture of philanthropy and generosity in the UAE, positioning the country as a global leader in humanitarian aid and charitable giving. The Fathers’ Endowment operates under MBRGI’s umbrella, allowing individuals to honour their fathers through donations while reinforcing values of compassion and solidarity.
